Studio Policy

Weddings . Events . Engagement Session

  • To reserve your date a signed contract and non-refundable 50% retainer is required.
  • Once your date is reserved, the studio declines other inquiries, thus all retainers are non-refundable.
  • Engagement sessions need to be scheduled at least two months before your wedding.
  • Engagement sessions are 1 to 2 hours and within 60 miles of Pasadena (Ventura, Los Angeles to Orange County).
  • Engagement sessions are scheduled on weekdays only.   Exceptions are made for engagement sessions if scheduling is available.
  • Travel within 20 miles (40 miles round trip) from Pasadena is included for all weddings and events.
  • A travel fee of $2.50 per mile beyond 20 miles (40 miles round trip from Pasadena) for wedding and events will be added to the cost of the wedding package at the time of booking.  Travel fee is to provide an adequate compensation to the photographers and assistants for the additional time spent in travel.   For Santa Barbara, San Diego and distance locations, please contact us for more details.
  • Travel fee of $2.50 per mile (base from Pasadena) will be added to the cost of the engagement at time of booking.  Travel fee is to provide an adequate compensation to the photographers and assistants for the additional time spent in travel.
  • Angela and Cedric Photography only travel in one vehicle to any event. Additional fees will apply if photographers are required to travel separately to different locations.
  • For weddings outside of Southern California, please contact us for our Destination Wedding packages.
  • Angela and Cedric photography will do all the booking and hotel accommodations for Angela and Cedric Photographers for all weddings requiring travel.
  • Signature post production of the wedding, engagement and events will be ready to view on our online gallery within 4 weeks after the event.  There will be a rush process fee of $100  to have images ready prior to 4 weeks.
  • High resolution digital negatives with our signature post production of wedding and events will be on files on image DVD will be send out by the six week.  There will be a rush process fee of $100 to have images ready prior to 6 weeks.
  • Gallery cards are available for you to hand out to your family and friends.  We are happy to provide these but cannot pass them out.
  • For wedding coverage, a non-refundable retainer fee of 50% is due upon booking.  This fee will be credited toward your total cost. The remaining balance must be paid in full before your wedding.  25% of the remaining balance is due 60 days before the wedding, the remaining balance is due 30 days before the wedding.  Should your event be canceled within 30 days of your wedding date, full payment is still due to Angela Tam and Cedric Chan.
  • CA sales tax of 9% is applied to all packages.
  • For all wedding album orders, (please make selection on Wedding Specification Form), will provide custom designed album, additional album pages may be added at $100/spread.
  • Images are archived after 12 months.  There is a $250 fee to retrieve archived images.
  • Once the assignment has been completed and the image DVD has been delivered, Angela and Cedric Photography does not assume any liability is any portion of the work is lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise unavailable to the client.
  • All images are shot in RAW and delivered as high resolution post production jpegs on image DVD.
  • A word about Copyright:
    • Copyright is protected by the Federal Copyright Law. It is unlawful to copy or scan any images without permission of the photographer. Even though the pictures may be of you or your child, the photographer still owns the copyright to the image. In order to control the quality of the work produced, the photographer is the only one who can crop, modify, order any image produced at this photo session. Angela and Cedric Photography retains the copyright and ownership of all images of the photo session and reserves the right to reproduce images for portfolio, studio display, gallery display, website, self-promotion, photo contests, etc. Clients are not allowed to reproduce any images produced by the photographer for any purpose without written consent. No other camera equipment other than the photographer’s is allowed in the wedding and event session.


Portraits

  • Session fees and reserving your appointment
    • To reserve your session a signed contract and non-refundable full session fee must be received within four days.  Session fees may vary by event.
  • Rescheduling
    • Your deposit/payment is non-refundable. If the weather isn’t agreeable on the day of the session, we will gladly reschedule to another day.
  • Ordering
    • All proofing and ordering will be done on our website.
    • Signature post production of the portrait session will be ready to view on our online gallery within 4 weeks after the session.  There will be a rush process fee of $100 to have images ready prior to 4 weeks.


Product Turn Around

  • Multiple Sessions & Ordering
    • Each portrait session will be treated as an individual session.  Portrait sessions can’t be combined in product package.
  • Payment due up front on all product orders
    • Payment of any order is due in full by cash, check or credit card when you place the order. Prints are mostly ready about 4-6 weeks once order is placed. Album production time may vary, depends on the finalization of the design mostly 6 weeks, however some may take much longer.  A rush process fee will imply to have products ready prior to 6 weeks.  Additional fee for rush shipping may also apply.  We will archive the images you order for 1 year for additional prints at a later date. There is a $250 minimum for re-orders.
  • Unclaimed Prints
    • If the images are unclaimed with the delivery notice at the delivery company.  Once it returns to us, we will discard any prints after 60 days unclaimed after notification of completion of the order.  If reshipping is needed, client will pay for the full reshipping fee.  Once the reshipping fee is paid by client in full by cash, check or credit card, the reshipping process will begin.
  • All orders must be placed in writing
    • You can place an order in writing via email.  Ask us for an order sheet.  We do not take orders over the phone.
    • No refunds are allowed once work has commenced on an order.
  • Touchups
    • Signature basic post production is included with the packages.  For Large Print advance post production, there is a touchup fee of $80 per image please contact us, Angela at angelaandcedric@gmail.com.
